When I say I have a family portrait session with five kids coming up, most people’s eyes tend to bug out of their heads. And for most families with five young kids, a family portrait would probably be a nightmarish proposal. But not the Bolander family! These kids are so full of love and joy, I always have the best time photographing them! (I think they might have fun too, since we were all in giggles!) Yes, I still have to act like a fool to get all of them looking my way, but this group of seven is honestly so much easier to photograph than most families of four!

Our favorite fall portrait event is back! We will have our pumpkins set outside the studio on Saturday October 12th and Sunday, October 13th.
There are two different types of sessions available:
Children’s Session: $29 and can accommodate up to three siblings ages 3 months to 18 years.
Family Session: $49 and can accommodate up to six people (all ages).
Sessions are by appointment only and booked first-come first-serve. Discounted print packages will be available at the order session starting at $129, or you may always order a la cart at our normal print prices. To reserve your mini-session, contact the studio at 850.339.5799 or email Linda@LongsPhotography.com. Session fees are nonrefundable or transferable and are due at the time of booking to reserve your time.

Little Miss Independent Aubrey had no interest in having her mom and dad in their family photo. She would push them away and gave me the biggest smiles when she was all by herself. Something tells me this little diva doesn’t want to share the spotlight for one single second!

Olyn and I managed to get away from Tallahassee for a week long beach vacation. We got some much needed R&R and spent everyday playing with our two boys, Thatcher and Ethan. Of course, I did make time for a very quick beach photo session as part of the trip! The beach photos were right at sunset, just after a thunderstorm. We only had a few minutes of light left on the beach, but we made the best of our quick photo shoot! Now back in Tallahassee, I am most definitely missing the beach!

One of the biggest compliments I get is when another photographer wants me to photograph their family. When its also a close friend like Kylene (and her super rockin nephew, Easton) its an absolute blast! I had so much fun with Kylene, Sarah and Easton, I will just have to find more reasons to have them come in the studio!
