Cindy and Robin

Usually we spend close to a year getting to know our couples, but for Cindy and Robin, they booked us less than two weeks before the wedding and we didn’t even meet Robin until the wedding day.  Normally, this would put the OCD in me into overdrive, but both Cindy and Robin are the most laid back, welcoming people you could imagine.  They are the kind of people that within minutes you feel like you have known them forever.  Their wedding really felt the same way– an intimate celebration where the focus was on the union of their families and not on any trivial detail.  I am so thrilled Olyn and I were able to be a part of their day!

Shannon & Dan- A Maclay Gardens Wedding

Saturday was the perfect day for a Maclay Gardens wedding and Olyn and I were so thrilled that Shannon and Dan chose us to be a part of it.  The day was overflowing with special details– from the apple name cards, awesome flower pillow for the ringbearer, the “I Do” signs, wine bottle table numbers, it just went on and on.  I have never done an apple themed wedding before, but Shannon made apples look like the most haute couture accessory!  I absolutely loved all the bright green accents and whimsical notes that really set their wedding apart from any other wedding we have photographed.

Brooke & Chris

Saturday was a day of emotion– from the greatest joys and excitement to nervousness and tears.  Olyn and I are so honored the Brooke and Chris chose us to be a part of it and embraced us so completely.  They are such an amazing couple and have surrounded themselves with some of the funniest, wildest, most wonderful friends we have ever seen at a wedding.  All I have to say is, “Can we do it again next weekend??”

Amanda & Reaney

When it comes to beach weddings, Port St. Joe is one of my absolute favorite Panhandle locations.  The sun sets over the water, there is a relaxed small-town atmosphere to everything and its absent of huge high-rise condos and half naked tourists.  🙂  It was the perfect place for Amanda & Reaney’s beach wedding and it fit their personalities so well.  (The relaxed small-town part, not necessarily the half-naked tourist part).  After 10 years of dating they finally tied the knot with all their closest friends and family around them to share the love.  It really doesn’t get much better than that!

Jess & Josh

Josh definitely gets the Groom of the Year Award.  During the ceremony, the minister tells the story of how Josh started saving money for his future wife’s engagement ring when he got his first job… at 16!  I think every female guest swooned a bit!  Through the whole planning process, Josh was involved, helping, calm and sweet.  I could definitely say that Jess got herself a good one, but to be perfectly honest, Josh didn’t do so bad himself!  They are a couple that just makes sense and you can instantly see that they were made for each other.  And to quote Jess’s grandmother, “They just look good together, don’t they?”

Gina & Matt

People ask me all the time if I prefer to photograph weddings or portraits.  My answer is that it always depends on who it is I am photographing.  With weddings like Gina and Matt’s, I would photograph weddings every single day.  Tallahassee weather doesn’t get much nicer than what we had on Saturday and the people certainly don’t get anymore fun!  We had such an amazing time with everyone– it was one of those incredibly rare drama-free weddings!  This one definitely ranks up there in my favorite weddings list!
