Caylee always looks like a porcelain doll to me. I swear you could just set her on a shelf. 🙂 For her 18 month portrait session, she was all about Olyn. Neither her mom, grandma nor I could get a smile from her, but for Olyn she was all giggles!

This year I have the privilege of serving as President of the Tallahassee Professional Photographers Guild. I have been on the board for the last four years and it is an organization that has continually challenged me, rewarded me and given me some of the greatest friends in the world. Two years ago, I was named “Tallahassee Photographer of the Year” by earning points in the Guild’s print competition. Last year, I chose not to compete so that I could run the competition and help other photographers learn the rules of competition.
This year, I am competing again and last night was our first meeting of the year. I was so thrilled and honored to win six of the 10 print categories and also have my print named “Overall Print of the Month”. While I continued to compete at state, regional and national competitions, I really missed how much fun our local competition is! So, here are my winning images from last night!

Jan 28, 2011 | Announcements, wedding
After holding our wedding packages at the same price for the last 3 1/2 years, it has come time to make some package adjustments. They will not be major price increases, but tweaks to the package structure and a small price increase for some of the packages. All weddings booked before February 1st can redeem the existing pricing, all weddings booked after that date will be with the new pricing. Thank you so much to everyone for understanding, we are looking forward to another amazing year of weddings!

One of our New Year’s Resolutions was to take on more personal photography projects. An idea that we have had for a long time is to photograph the people that make Tallahassee such an amazing place. By that, we don’t mean the mayor, city council, etc. We want to hear about the most interesting people who live in the Capital City. Whether it is an inspiring teacher, a nurse, firefighter, a father, brother, soldier, quirky local personality, or just someone that you feel is amazing. These are the people who have impacted your lives, who bring a smile to your face, who are fighting the battles, or who you just feel are part of what makes Tallahassee the great town that it is.
You can nominate ANYONE you want to. Just email Linda@LongsPhotography and tell me about them. You don’t have to write a novel, just tell me what is special about them. Olyn and I plan to select and photograph the 12 Most Interesting People throughout the year. For being photographed, each “Interesting Person” will receive a framed print from their session.

Kids don’t come any cuter than Baby Hamilton. His chunky little cheeks, awesome smile, big brown eyes and endearing giggle. I swear his mom and dad need to lock him up, cause every girl he meets instantly falls in love with him. Just tell me you don’t want to smoosh these cheeks!
