Arabella’s mommy came to our Photo Basics a little over a year ago, and I was so thrilled she was able to drive over from Valdosta to bring Arabella and big brother Ashton to see me! Miss Arabella is a very mellow little thing, but she is so curious about her world! She napped well at first, but once she woke up she fought sleep like you would not believe so she could see what we were doing!

Olyn and I have been living and breathing Star Wars at our house since about six months ago when Thatcher decided that it was the coolest thing EV-AH! So, I had a great laugh when Baby Jess came in with his very own Darth Vader lovie! 🙂 How much cooler could one little dude be?

Thank you to everyone who voted in our Annual Cute Kid Contest! We had an amazing turnout and after verifying the votes, we have a clear winner! There were also a few kids who were close behind in the votes, so we are also awarding three runners up! The winning kid receives a portrait session with Long’s Photography and a framed 11×14 print at their order session. The runners up each receive a portrait session. Miss Hannah has always been beautiful, but for her one year portrait session she was an absolute doll! Most one year olds are walking, crawling or even running all over the place and you just have to do your best to keep up. Dainty Miss Hannah was so refined and sweet, she stayed put anywhere we placed her! Her parents insist that she is a wild girl at home, but she was a completely refined little lady for me!

Olyn came up with the perfect word to describe Jack and Mallie– “Animated”. They are just that– full of energy (without being naughty), super excited about their world, loving and most of all fun. Mallie is as bouncy as her curly hair and Jack is just as sweet as he could be. It was a whirlwind session, but I really enjoyed every minute of it and I am still laughing at their silliness as I go through the images!
