Mr. Ethan was in no rush to join the rest of us in the outside world. This little guy was two weeks late before the doctors insisted on evicting him! Even though his newborn session was later than we expected, Ethan was an absolutely perfect angel for the session! He never once made a peep and he let me pose and move him all around, only occasionally opening his eyes to watch what I was doing. I wish all my newborn portrait sessions could be this easy!
My two boys are definitely “Mama’s Boys” and I hate the idea of them growing up and not being as loving. I love that Ulrica and Chaddrick are still really close and that he will still give his mama big hugs! Its obvious that these two have a really great relationship and it gives me so much hope that my boys will be this way when they are teenagers!
Two year olds are supposed to be terrible, but Brantley was most definitely the exception to the rule. He was so sweet for his photos with his mommy and definitely kept me laughing through his session! I am so glad we were able to capture this moment of their little family!
I hate writing this blog post. I really really hate it. Why? Because it means that Ryan’s baby photo plan is really and truly over!! (You should be picturing me sitting at my desk stomping my feet in a very temper-tantrum like manner right now.) I adore this kid and his parents are some of my very favorite people. I really really hate the idea of not seeing them all the time and getting to hang out with this hilarious little dude! Since they live just around the corner from the studio, I might just have to become a bit of a stalker… 🙂
For Ryan’s one year session we headed downtown and let mom and dad join in on the fun this time! Ryan is such a busy dude now I was so thankful to be outside to give him the space to run and play!

We have been so blessed this year and have received so many honors and awards for our work. I am personally just in shock and I am so honored by it all! One of the most exciting surprises this year was when the Professional Photographer Magazine asked to do a feature on our studio! So, we got everything ready and then we had to wait six months to make the big announcement! If you know me, you will know this was absolute torture! I can NEVER keep a secret! 😉
But, after all the waiting I am thrilled to share the spread that is in the January 2014 Professional Photographer Magazine!
