Janay’s mom called us to schedule her senior portraits and mentioned that they had moved from Oklahoma in the last year. Most people around Tallahassee have no idea how important senior portraits are in other states– there are plenty of states where senior portraits are as important as wedding photography. Oklahoma is definitely one of those states, so I was really honored that Janay selected us to create those images for her. We had a great warm session at Dorothy B. Oven Park and we made Janay practice everything she had seen on America’s Next Top Model!

Jordan is an angel. Well, her mom might not agree to that, but any senior who is willing to endure countless mosquito bites during her session without a complaint must be an angel! 🙂 Through the heat and the bugs, Jordan was a total trooper and I think we got some great images despite those challenges! 😉

I love when we can do a senior portrait session at a cool location that includes some of the senior’s hobbies and interests– for Taylor, she is definitely a beach girl, a cheerleader and a bit of a country girl. It was so fun to roll all those things into one portrait session with some sassiness!

We kept scheduling Taylor’s senior portraits only to keep getting rained out! This time I was determined that we were going to get them done and despite a lot of noisy thunder, the rain stayed away long enough to get her session done! I have been wanting to use this location for a really long time and with Taylor’s looks, she was the perfect subject for this spot!

Lexie came into the studio for her senior portraits and like most seniors, it took her a few minutes to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Lexie has a FANTASTIC fake smile, but when I would call her on it she would give me the most beautiful real, natural smile and laugh. So, of course, I spent most of the session teasing her to get that smile!
