I love doing portrait sessions at FSU– campus is so large there is always a new spot I can find, a different idea, a new adventure. 🙂 Shannon and Dan were totally up for the adventure as well, dodging all the graduation madness, freezing as we ran around in this weirdly cold weather, and traipsing all over campus and down to the stadium. They are so comfortable and natural in front of the camera– especially the snuggling parts. Either they were comfortable or really just trying to stay warm!

Olyn and I are total nerds. We just are. 🙂 We are both a wealth of totally useless knowledge, so its always exciting for me to find another encyclopedia type person. Colby is definitely that– he had the details on different plants, old farm machinery, etc. We had the best time with both Karae and Colby and I definitely see a Trivial Pursuit matchup in our future!

How do you know a guy is really into you? Well, for Gina, it was pretty easy– Matt started bringing over toys to win the dog’s affection. He definitely knew the way to her heart- winning the puppy’s love first! I was so glad we could squeeze in their engagement session when they were in town for Veteran’s Day and even happier that we could include their little fur-baby!

Nothing is more personal than doing your portraits at your home, or in Jessica and Josh’s case– at her parents home. We had such a blast wandering around the property with them! Oh, and her brothers, little sister and mom, too! It was so funny to watch how they reacted to their audience! Good thing they are a close family! I am so excited for their March wedding at Pebble Hill! If their engagements are any indication, their wedding is going to be awesome!

Olyn and I absolutely hate it when we both can’t be at a portrait session. When the other one sees the images, they of course have a million ideas they would have tried. Its our version of “armchair quaterbacking”. This time, all I could really tell Olyn was that I was bummed I missed all the fun! He did such a great job with Kelle and Josh and I could tell they had a really good time!
