Heather has been so excited for her engagement session… I thought at one point she might just pop! She had the clothes all picked out, the location set and she was ready to go. And then… Ray went fishing. The sunburn that followed resulted in a flurry of emails and a reschedule for the portrait session. I honestly don’t think Heather will ever let Ray forget it! 🙂 He was such a good sport about all the teasing and we ended up with a beautiful day in Southwood for their session!

I realized on the way to Michelle and Randy’s engagement session that I have never known a wedding couple so well without having photographed them first! I have been photographing their little girl Stella for almost a year, but Michelle and Randy haven’t really been in front of my camera until now! Needless to say, I am super super excited for their Pebble Hill Plantation wedding in February!

Engagement portraits are one of my very favorite kind of sessions– we get to hang out with an awesome couple, have a lot of laughs and not once do I have to make a complete fool of myself to get them to smile. As much fun as photographing children is, getting subjects that can actually do what you ask is simply divine! So, we had the pleasure of starting our long weekend right with a Friday morning engagement session with Amber & Ron!

Honestly, the best way I can imagine spending a Friday morning is in a field of wet grass in the bright sunshine with a sweet, funny and very much in love couple. I know most people would want to sleep in and have breakfast in bed, but engagement sessions like this just fill me with joy and excitement. With an engagement session like this, I can’t wait until their fall wedding!

We love all our wedding clients, but photographing my brother and his fiance is extra special. They were such good clients too and never complained… despite the bugs, random honking cars and the snake-infested weeds I made them trek into. Thank goodness they love me and trust me, or this could have really been a challenge! Needless to say, Olyn and I are super-excited to photograph their September wedding!

If I could figure out how I would password protect this sneak peek just to make Chris wait a little longer to view it! 🙂 Both he and Brooke have the greatest sense of humor and enjoy picking on Olyn and I almost as much as we enjoy harrassing them! Chris was itching to see the sneak peek even before the engagement session was done! I told him it would be Thursday before it went online, but since he is SO anxious, I rushed today and got it ready for him. I know, I’m a total softie, right? 🙂
