It wasn’t long ago that I met the Pinon family when I photographed Mr. L’s first birthday, so I was thrilled when they called to get the whole family in the studio for an updated portrait. Family portraits with a one year old is a lot of trial and error, as the one year old is clearly in charge of the session! Mr. L was a great model as usual and let us get lots of great images with his whole family!

What do you get when you pair a wild, wiggly dog who has been home alone all day with a wild, wiggly child that has been stuck in school all day? You get chaos and a lot of laughter! I think they both had a blast playing in the tall grass at the Alford Greenway!
I have been photographing Ian since he was probably two years old, but this was my first time photographing Trooper. I will say that Ian can be more on the serious side of things at times, but Trooper changes all that! The love this boy has for his dog is something truly special and you can see that joy all over his face!

Happy birthday to Grayson! To celebrate his first birthday, we all braved the cold to do a family portrait session at Southwood and G even stripped down to his diaper to dive into a smash cake! It might have been chilly, but the laughter at Grayson and his cake absolutely warmed my heart!

The Watson family got together for Thanksgiving and made the most of their family visit by scheduling a family portrait session at Maclay Gardens. I love that we got to join them in between all the football games to create a family portrait I know they will always treasure!

We still had the Christmas tree set up from our Storybook Santa sessions, so when the Mitchell family wanted portraits of the kids with a holiday theme, we just moved a few things around in the studio and made it work! Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, so I love displaying holiday images in my home year round. It always reminds me of that cozy time of year when you have time together with family, great food to eat and so much to be thankful for! I am so happy that the Mitchell family will have these images on their walls to also remind them of those feelings!
