Its not that common that a couple is completely comfortable in front of the camera, but sometimes it can work to your advantage. Mary Elizabeth and Johnny warned us that they are a bit camera shy at the start of the session and gave us the perfect opening to get some great laughs from them! It only took a few jokes on our part and they were cracking each other up and playing around. I was so glad we were able to squeeze in their engagement portraits before they headed back to Alabama!

Occasionally, Olyn and I invite clients into the studio to model for us and let us play around. This time, we were looking for high school girls and instantly Hannah came to mind. Although Hannah is only going to be a Freshman this fall, her beautiful skin and striking eyes make her look so much more mature! She was so wonderful and let us play around with some new backdrops and sets we are working on… not to mention she even laughed at Olyn’s bad jokes!

While the park opened at 8, they don’t open the water until 9… or 9:35 on the day we went. Despite the blazing sun for the first half of the session and the chilly water for the second part, they were so awesome and wonderful to work with. So here is one last YEA! for a creative bride who gives me something totally new to work with!

Miss Lily is just an absolute mess. 🙂 She tried so hard to act scared and be clingy to her mom, but that thumb in her mouth is actually hiding smiles and giggles. Seriously! She was all about Olyn tickling her, but she put up a great act that she couldn’t let go of her mom! I swear kids know how to play us grown-ups way better than we give them credit for!

This week marked the end of the Watch Me Grow plan with the Miller family and I just want to cry! Camden is a perpetual cutie with those giant blue eyes and he always gives me the best smiles. I am so excited for him to become a big brother and to be able to keep up with this awesome family in the years to come!
