What does a crafty mom do when the party company ships plastic crabs in with all the monkey themed birthday items? She sees a great set for a beach party portrait! 🙂

In celebration of July 4th and to honor the families who sacrifice so much for our American way of life, Long’s Photography is honored to announce Operation Homefire– a one day mini boudoir marathon event for military wives. Any wife of active duty military may schedule a no cost 30 minute boudoir portrait session on June 26th, 2010.
We want to send a little love to the husbands who have to be away from their families and who stand for everything that makes this nation so great. Through Operation Homefire we are making those wives back here in the states feel beautiful and glamorous and sending a message to the husbands far from home that the homefires are indeed still burning. 😉
We are thrilled to also include professional hair styling and makeup thanks to our wonderful partners!!

It’s always sad to come to the end of a Watch Me Grow plan, but when it also means that the family is moving away, it’s just heart breaking. For the Welch’s final portrait in Tallahassee, we went to probably the most photographed Tallahassee landmark– Maclay Gardens. I loved getting to photograph the entire bunch this last time before they leave and I wish them lots of love and luck as they move home to Alabama!
Baby Colton’s mom and I had emailed a few months ago planning his newborn session… neither one of us ever imagined that Mr. Colton would have to arrive a month early! Thank goodness the doctors were able to get Colton’s mommy in for a C-section just in time before her appendix ruptured!! I am so thankful that both Mr. Colton and his mommy are doing well now, and I am super excited that I got to play with such a cute little snuggle bug!
Nicklaus is one of those mile a minute type of guys who definitely keeps his mommy on her toes. He is just a good ol’ fashioned wild boy and will be into and climbing on top of everything! Definitely makes for a wild and wiggly portrait session!
