Mary and Andrew had a travel themed wedding with a full mass at St. Peters Anglican Cathedral and and an evening of dancing at the Four Points Sheraton in downtown Tallahassee. It was the perfect day for this jet setting couple who met swing dancing! There focus was on their faith, their love and their family. The day was full of laughter and joy and it was such a pleasure to photograph!

Lynnsy and Daren

Just as the very outer bands of Hurricane Michael started to come through, Lynnsy and Daren exchanged vows in front of the reflection pond at Maclay Gardens. There was a steady breeze and just a few raindrops, but nothing distracted from the feeling of love and intimacy. I would say the “theme” of their wedding was unmistakably family. They only had family in attendance and the focus was always on their immediate family of three (soon to be four!) I am so glad we got to be a part of this special day and create some of the last images of Maclay Gardens looking exactly this way!

High school sweethearts, Tessa and Justin’s love has already stood the test of time– well, for more than a decade already! They got married under the big oak tree at the Space at Feather Oaks in Tallahassee, surrounded by their closest friends and family. While Hurricane Nate skirted Tallahassee, it thankfully only gave us some sprinkles until about halfway into the wedding reception, when the skies opened up! Thankfully, we got most of their wedding photography done before the downpour, but we definitely raced to move the party inside!

Ashley & Levi

I have photographed dozens of weddings at the Retreat at Bradley’s Pond, but Ashley and Levi’s decor is hands down my favorite! I don’t think there was a single detail left unattended and everything had such a romantic, southern flair! September weddings in Tallahassee are always warm, but with beautiful blue skies, we really couldn’t complain!

I have been photographing weddings now for more than ten years and the stories and emotions of that day still have the power to bring me to tears. It is not lost on me that couples choose to have me document what is often the most important day of their lives. I feel lucky not only to have such a rewarding job but also to call Tallahassee my adopted home. I have been in Tallahassee half my life now and it has been the place where I began Long’s Photography and its the people of Tallahassee who made it a success. To say thank you, I am looking to tell the story of a couple here in Tallahassee that are getting married in 2017 or 2018 and I will be gifting them their wedding photography!
