Efia and Jason wear their emotions on the outside– their joy, sadness, excitement and love are so outward that you can’t help but to get wrapped up in it. Their wedding was just as a wedding should be– it was intimate, loving, emotional and fun. They hired all the best vendors in Tallahassee and didn’t worry about a thing! Olyn and I had the absolute best time with them and I am so heart broken that they are already back in California!!

When I moved to Tallahassee 14 years ago, Jason was one of the very first friends I made. All these years later, I was so honored to photograph his amazing wedding to Jamie, who has become a new friend! Jason and Jamie are both a bit unconventional, which is one of the things I love most about them! They embraced their “geekiness” and went with a “Geek-chic” wedding theme which was outstandingly awesome. The day included tributes to super heros, Star Wars, Dr. Who, books and pandas and was focused on friendship, family and fun. In other words, it was an incredibly fun day for Olyn and I!

I get very attached to all of my brides, but walking into Julia & Ray’s wedding it felt like everyone involved was an immediate friend. Julia’s nervous excitement, tears of joy and barely-containable leaps of joy at the reception kept a smile on my face all day, but the generally fairly stoic Ray’s hugs of thank you at the end of the night were priceless to us.

Heather decided that she wanted us to photograph her wedding LONG before there was even an engagement ring! She was a “blog stalker” for years, so when Ray popped the question, we were one of the first vendors she booked. Now that the wedding has come and gone, I am in shock that its over! It always seemed so far away! Its hard to imagine not getting all of Heather’s wedding planning emails! 😉

Bridal portraits are one of my very favorite sessions, but when you add a fun bride and tons of honking cars and onlookers, it becomes an absolute riot!
