The Shealy Family

The Shealy Family

I don’t even have words for how much I love the Shealy Family!  They have been with me since we did maternity portraits with their first pregnancy, then the whole first year, maternity with the second, her whole first year, several family sessions in between and now their latest family portrait!  I adore that not only do the girls know me and feel comfortable with me, but I also know them, know how they work and I also know that this family doesn’t need a super posed, everyone looking perfect family portrait.  They really celebrate their family as they naturally are- including some silly antics from the two cutest curly headed girls in the world!

The Vennum Family

The Vennum Family

The Vennum Family joined us at Maclay Gardens for one of our mini-sessions and I am so glad that we were able to create an updated family portrait for them!  With grown kids, the scheduling gets so difficult with jobs, hobbies, travel, etc. Finding just the thirty minutes we needed for the session gives them a portrait that will last a lifetime!

Julianna

Julianna

Happy HALF birthday Julianna!  She was a bit unsure of her cupcake, but she enjoyed playing in the icing!  I love celebrating ANY milestone with my client- I am here for all the birthdays and half birthdays!!

Happy birthday Anari!  She is just the cutest little girl- look at those pinchable cheeks!  I love that we got to celebrate her first birthday a little early with a special first birthday photo session.  She had the most fun and even showed her artistic side, using the icing on her birthday cake to paint a lovely picture on the floor!  Too cute!

The Clore Family

The Clore Family

The first thing the Clore Family told me was that they hadn’t had a family portrait in a lot of years.  Its really not surprising- the trend is generally to do family portraits when your children are very young and honestly, thats when family portraits are the most difficult!  Then, as your children grow up, people skip the family portraits, but the portraits are just as important and so much easier to do!  Every time I photograph families with older kids we have a great time, its a quick session and I know I have captured images they will be so thankful for years down the road!
