Maclay Gardens is always one of Tallahassee’s most popular locations for portraits. With is beautiful landscaping, brick pathway, secret garden and reflection pond its easily Tallahassee’s most iconic location. Because of its popularity, we try to offer mini-sessions twice each year at the Gardens. Once in the Spring when everything is in bloom and once in the fall in time for the holidays.
The lastest mini-sessions at Maclay Gardens were back in November and I love the images! The sessions were a great mix of posed family portraits with candids of kids playing, hugging and being their natural selves! Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter to be the first to hear about the next mini-session date at Maclay Gardens!

Isn’t it funny how kids will behave exactly OPPOSITE of what you expect? I was warned that the Franklin kids would be shy and I would have to work to get them comfortable and warmed up. Well… these boys walked into the studio for their family portraits and it was as though we were old friends. They were funny, silly and not even a tiny bit shy!

This was the first time I had done mini-sessions at the FSU Medical School, but I have to say it has quickly become one of my favorite locations in Tallahassee to do family portraits! The architecture of the buildings along with the landscaping really yield themselves to beautiful backgrounds for a portrait session, even if you have no allegiances to FSU!
I am sure we will offer additional mini-sessions at the FSU Medical Center, so be sure you sign up for the email newsletter and be the first to hear!

Teachers will always have a special place of respect in my heart. Both my parents worked in the school system, as well as many of my aunts and uncles. Sometimes a teacher comes into your child’s life and makes all the difference in the world. I proudly saw my mother do it for countless children and last year, Mrs. T was exactly that for my Ethan.
Since she used her gifts, talents and hard work to make the world better for my child, I could not think of a better way to show my gratitude than to photograph the tiny new addition to her family! It absolutely made my heart happy to photograph the whole family and give them these memories I hope they treasure for a lifetime. I know Ethan and I will always be grateful for the difference she made for him!

Caleb is one whole year old! And boy is he on the move! He paused only long enough to flash me one of his million silly faces! This little guy always cracks me up! Its been such an honor to photograph his family from his parent’s wedding, family portraits, maternity portraits and then all the baby photos of Caleb’s first year!
