What happens when you drive an hour out to the beach and discover you left your husband’s shirt at home and the sun is fading fast??  Well, we improvise!  Thankfully Austin had packed some extra clothes for our stay in Summer Camp Beach, so we loaned a shirt and did our best to tuck it in to make it fit!  I am so glad we made it work, I absolutely love how these family portraits came out with the sun setting and the tide low at Summer Camp Beach– its just magic!

We are heading back to the beach!  We have sunrise and sunset sessions available October 14-17, 2020 at Summer Camp Beach.  Each session can accommodate up to eight people and you can choose either sunrise or sunset.  Sunset session fees are $129 and sunrise session fees are $79.

Happy birthday Jennifer!!  She has no idea these portraits happened!  Her sweet husband snuck away with the girls, got their hair done, got wardrobe input from her sisters and brought the sweet girls to see me– all to give her the best birthday present!  YAY!  I am honored and thrilled to be a part of the surprise!  The girls were amazing as always for me and we have SO many sweet beautiful images to show her once the surprise happens!  I can’t wait to wish her a happy birthday in person and help her figure out what she wants to do with the images of these awesome girls!

CHAOS!  LOL  What else can you say about a session with a five year old, 18 month old, two grown doggies and a puppy?  While the session may have been a whirlwind, its a true representation of this time in the lives of the McFarland Boys.  This is real life– its dirt, bugs, a grumpy face and an unexpected snack.  While it isn’t “perfect” by textbook standards, in twenty years this momma will look back on her boys and remember all the chaos fondly and she will cherish these moments of wild boys and dogs!

This was the tenth year we have done the Ducks & Bunnis mini-sessions  at the studio and I have to say it was a year like no other.  With concerns over Covid-19, many sessions cancelled and this was the lowest number of sessions we have ever done, BUT each and every one of the sessions we did was AWESOME!  We had so much fun creating Easter portraits in the studio gardens.  Its such a joy to watch the children interact with the animals!  To all the families who kept their sessions and helped us make it through the Covid shut down, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
