November is Prematurity Awareness month and I just wanted to take a moment to be thankful for all the awesome preemies I have had the privilege of photographing. Each of them has had their own distinct health battles, but the uniting theme has always been their strength, their amazing families and their feisty little attitudes. I was hospitalized with preterm labor with Ethan at 29 weeks and obsessively read every possible complication that we could face. We were lucky enough to go full term, but that experience paired with all the amazing tiny babies I know has opened my eyes to the challenges the babies and their families have to face in those early days.
I have so much respect for these little fighters, along with their brave moms and dads. I have announced this before on the blog, but I think now is a great time to put it up again. For those feisty little premies, we are proud to photograph their newborn portraits, along with their mom and dad with NO SESSION FEE. It is a pleasure to meet each of these remarkable little wonders that we are happy to waive our session fee. To qualify, your little one must have been born before 36 weeks and we must do the session in the first month they are home from the hospital.
