“Newborn portraits” are generally only done in the first two to three weeks of baby’s life, but sometimes (especially in a pandemic), parents aren’t able to get into the studio that fast. Many parents feel disappointed that they won’t get a newborn session after that initial window, but I still photograph a newborn type session up to eight weeks. Since babies develop and change so quickly, not all the newborn type poses are possible, but we are still able to capture a big variety of images!
Baby Kayden was six weeks old when we did his session and while he was determined to stay awake and watch me, we did get a lot of variety of awake and asleep images. Plus, look at how much those chubby cheeks had filled in!
