High school sweethearts, Tessa and Justin’s love has already stood the test of time– well, for more than a decade already! They got married under the big oak tree at the Space at Feather Oaks in Tallahassee, surrounded by their closest friends and family. While Hurricane Nate skirted Tallahassee, it thankfully only gave us some sprinkles until about halfway into the wedding reception, when the skies opened up! Thankfully, we got most of their wedding photography done before the downpour, but we definitely raced to move the party inside!

I have photographed dozens of weddings at the Retreat at Bradley’s Pond, but Ashley and Levi’s decor is hands down my favorite! I don’t think there was a single detail left unattended and everything had such a romantic, southern flair! September weddings in Tallahassee are always warm, but with beautiful blue skies, we really couldn’t complain!

I have been photographing weddings now for more than ten years and the stories and emotions of that day still have the power to bring me to tears. It is not lost on me that couples choose to have me document what is often the most important day of their lives. I feel lucky not only to have such a rewarding job but also to call Tallahassee my adopted home. I have been in Tallahassee half my life now and it has been the place where I began Long’s Photography and its the people of Tallahassee who made it a success. To say thank you, I am looking to tell the story of a couple here in Tallahassee that are getting married in 2017 or 2018 and I will be gifting them their wedding photography!

Amber and Tim met because of church so it was the obvious choice to not only have their wedding, but also their reception there. Since Amber is a teacher and their friends and family all have children, the couple chose to have a morning ceremony with a brunch reception so the children could play in the bounce house while the grownups played cornhole! It was an absolutely perfect fall day in Tallahassee and everyone came together to celebrate such a sweet, loving couple!

Jessica and Jason decided to be a bit untraditional with their wedding. They abandoned the little white church for a yacht sailing out of Destin harbor. Their closest friends and family joined them aboard the Solaris on a clear blue day as they set sail. The couple exchanged vows on the top deck at sunset, then danced the night away below deck. It was an intimate day surrounded by family and friends full of laughter and joy and I feel so privileged to be a part of it!

Its easy to say that fate brings a couple together, but for Debbie and Ron, it is hard to believe otherwise! Their whirlwind romance swept them up the aisle at North Florida Christian Church as they exchanged vows with their children standing by their sides. Their love and admiration for one another brought tears to my eyes as Ron serenaded Debbie during the ceremony and then Debbie surprised Ron at the reception with a song of her own. Their friends and family danced the night away at the Women’s Club as the evening was filled with laughter and joy! Now, the newlyweds are in the middle of a cross-country move to start their new life! I am so honored that I got to share their day and be a part of the celebration!
