Twice a year I offer mini-sessions at Tallahassee’s most iconic portrait location– Maclay Gardens.  The gardens are probably the most popular portrait location in Tallahassee, with the long brick pathway, huge oaks and draping Spanish moss, its no surprise why!  Here are some of the images from the family portrait mini-sessions we did at Maclay Gardens back in November.

The Cross family came to me with one request- all three kids in one image.  With a special needs child, its often difficult to even attempt a portrait session so many parents set their standards really low.  For this family I knew we needed to let things happen as naturally as possible so that we could capture real expressions and hopefully make the session as fun as possible for everyone.  I think we accomplished it and got some great images of these three siblings!

Sometimes you realize its time for a portrait simply because life is slowly changing and you realize it won’t be this way for long.  With Eden being a sassy, silly toddler and Rue getting more gray, it was time to capture these two and preserve this part of life together!
