The Marsh Family
So often, we photograph our babies until they are school age, and then the family portraits just stop. Things get busy, there are other priorities, etc. We still love and value our family, but we neglect the portraits. I LOVE when a family realizes this, especially before they have a child go off to school. For the Marsh family, their oldest daughter will start college in the fall, so it was time to capture their last family portrait before she goes off into the world. I had the best time with this session as they are so laid back and it was incredibly easy to show their love for one another in the images.

Dorothy B Oven Park is one of my favorite spots for portrait sessions. Its got flowers blooming almost year round and you can get a lot of different looks without having to walk too far. This means it is perfect for a day of mini-sessions! I try to have a day or two per year for family mini-sessions at Dorothy B. Oven. Here are a few of the faves from my mini-session day in 2021!

The Shealy Family
The gift of photography can be something that they keep forever. How often do you give someone a gift that they still have in 5 years? 10? Imagine giving a gift that they will treasure for the rest of their lives… pretty cool, right?
The Shealy family was given the gift of a family session and while the gift was for the grandparents, I have no doubt their granddaughters will treasure these images for their entire lives. I know I would LOVE to have professional portraits with my grandparents!
