Miss Madeline’s mommy was telling me that for her previous portrait sessions Maddie wasn’t the smiliest or happiest little girl. Well, she definitely made up for that yesterday! She was so giggly and girly and wonderful!
Many of you have either spoken with, met or emailed our office manager, Morgan. She is an amazing, smart, mature, hilarious, laid back wonderful girl and we have been so lucky to have her here the last few months. And I am so happy that a great guy has realized all of those things as well, and asked her to marry him! 🙂 James and Morgan are so adorable together it seriously borders on being sickening! They are incredibly in tune to one another and are undeniably best friends.
Being the mean boss that I am, I made Morgan and James model for the Tallahassee Professional Photographers’ Guild meeting this month as part of our photo safari. So, to thank them, I snuck out of the meeting and captured some of my own portraits for them. I know how precious their time together is– James is only home from Iraq for a quick visit– so I am so thankful that they allowed us to have some of that time. I just hope that the images are enough to make up for stealing some of their time together! 🙂
With those sweet cherub cheeks and bright blue eyes Baby Abbie is simply irresistible! I swear her little smile could light up an entire room. Having her in the studio for her six month session was one of the highlights of my week. Seriously, who can complain about work when they get such wonderful little people to play with!?
When I saw the images that Olyn did of Maya, I was so struck by who she looked like to me… Ok, so its going to be clear how old I am when I say this, but here goes…I swear she reminds me of Blossom! She is absolutely stunning and her features are so dramatic, but she has such a fun, flirty personality that comes through the lens! You can tell instantly that she would be such an awesome friend and keep you in hysterics constantly!
Olyn again won one of the categories at the Tallahassee Professional Photographers’ Guild meeting! Each month, the local professional photographers get together for print competition, education and networking. Olyn has had a really great year competing each month and I am so proud of him! This month, Olyn won in the challenge category, which gives a different topic each month. This month was, “Use of an Unconventional Light Source”, and this was his image of the gorgeous Miss Hannah!
Each winning print earns points and at the end of the year, the photographer with the most points is named “Tallahassee Photographer of the Year”. I won the award last year and Olyn is competing hard to win it this year. This award has a lot of significance to us, as it is something earned through photographic excellence and it is from a group of our colleagues.
Next month, we are thrilled to be presenting to the Tallahassee Professional Photographers– we are preparing a program on streamlining workflow, so for all the photographers who regularly read our blog, please come out to the meeting to see us! Our speakers normally come from all over Florida and the Southeast, so we are very honored to be considered in the same light! The meeting is August 26th at 6pm at Beef O’Brady’s on Thomasville Rd. We have some amazing companies who are helping sponsor our program and they have supplied some awesome door prizes.
