Our winners in the Cutest Family Contest were in the studio last week for their session. I am absolutely positive that two teenage boys just LOVE being called “cute”, so I made sure that was the word of the day in the studio. 🙂

Our Limited Edition Angel Babies portrait sessions are back! We will be scheduling mini sessions on Saturday, August 27th from 8:00 until 1:00pm for children ages 6mo- 3yrs. This will be the only time this year that we offer the angel sessions, so please don’t miss out!
The best part about this year’s special is that you also get to be an angel for someone else– the entire $29 session fee will be made as a donation to Broken Hearts of the Big Bend BHBB supports, educates and unites families affected by congenital heart defects and other pediatric heart diseases. We will be raising funds for BHBB through the session fees, but we are also accepting donations here at the studio- monetary donations, nonperishable food items and also gas cards to help the families who have to travel to Gainesville and beyond for extended hospital stays.

Our first Photo Basics class was an amazing success! At the request of so many emails and phone calls, I will be teaching one more Photo Basics classes before the end of the year. The class will be on Saturday, September 24th from 9-noon, then we have an hour for questions, playing with your cameras and trying it all out. This class is geared to NON-professional photographers! This class is for the average mom who wants to learn how to take better photos of her children. In the class, we will cover the basics of exposure, composition, camera functions and some basic photo editing using free software. The class is $99,and limited to 10 people per class. To reserve your spot, call the studio at 850.339.5799 with a Visa, Mastercard or Discover card. Because spaces are so limited, the non-refundable tuition is due at the time of booking. (more…)

Not too many newborns are incredibly stubborn, but I have to agree with Lily’s parents when I say that she is definitely a stubborn little girl with a mind of her own! She isn’t bad at all– she just makes up her mind that she wants to stay awake and then does anything and everything imaginable to do just that. She gave it a good fight, but in the end, I won and got her to sleep through the majority of her session. 🙂 Now I think her mom might be bringing her to me every afternoon to get her down for naptime!

I haven’t seen little Miss L since she was a teeny newborn, so I was absolutely gobsmacked to see how big she is now! She is just as adorable and sassy as ever with her dimples and chunky pouty face!
