Jennifer and Kevin

I spent the entire day yesterday at St. George Island for Jennifer and Kevin's wedding. These two are one of my favorite couples-- they are so much in love and they absolutely crack me up. Jennifer is one of my self-admitted blog stalkers and I love getting emails from her about my latest posts. Hope she has as much fun checking out this post!

Wedding bands. The flowergirl, Annaleisa, was hilarious-- she didn't want to pose when I asked, but anytime I was busy working on something else, she would stand by me with this smile waiting for me to take her picture. :) I show lots of brides coming down the aisle, but I hardly ever post the groom's processional. So, here's some love for the groom! It was such an ideal day for a beach wedding-- the temperature was perfect, there was only a slight wind and there were hundreds of "dive bombing" pelicans out on the water. :)I think these two grinned throughout the entire ceremony.I finished the family portraits fairly quickly and spent a good amount of time on the beach with Jennifer and Kevin.
The reception was held at the beach house across the street.I think pretty much everyone hit the dance floor at one point in the evening!Even Noah had a dance with his grandma! I ran off with Jennifer and Kevin for a few romantic portraits at the end of the night. But the last kisses went to Jenn's doggie, Winston!

Candice and Nick

I was back out at the beach yesterday for Candice and Nick's St. George Island wedding. They made a week-long celebration out of the beach wedding, sharing some time with their closest friends and family.

Candice kept cracking me up as she told her guests that, "Linda is the best wedding photographer... EVER!" Well.... I hope she still believes it! :)

If a four-leaf clover is good luck... what is a six legged starfish??Candice's dress was a reflection her personality-- Untraditional, unexpected and fun! There were so many cute kiddos at the wedding! This guy in particular made me smile! Seriously-- how can you not look at him and grin??I love taking images that make my clients think I'm nuts! I get all kinds of odd looks at weddings as I lay on the ground or hang off a balcony, but the images are so worth it!I have taken a thousand images of brides walking down the aisle, but I loved this one simply because of the way Candice is holding her dad's hand. It isn't a formal escort that I often see, but a supportive, reassuring touch.Candice and Nick had one of the most enthusiastic kisses I have ever seen in a ceremony!I can't take credit for this pose-- it was all Candice. She had to have photos of Nick "twirling" her, something they seem to do fairly often! Some people complained about the bright sun, so I decided to make something cool out of it...

I don't think Candice even knew I was taking this photo in between poses. I love how simple and classic it looks.Only slightly delayed, Nick and Candice made the most of their reception! This has to be one of the coolest wedding gifts I have ever seen-- a bicycle built for two! The small reception had a wonderful feeling of intimacy with most of the light coming from candles scattered everywhere.

Ann-Marie and Jack; Annie and Aaron

I went down to Gainesville for the weekend to third shoot Ann-Marie and Jack's wedding at the Baughman Center at UF. I had the extreme privilege to work with two amazing photographers-- Monica and Jacob of IMJ Photography. (www.imjphotography.com) It is so refreshing to work with other photographers who you respect-- it recharges your creativity and pushes you to produce better, more innovative images. Ann-Marie and Jack were an awesome, fun-loving couple who really made the day a blast!

Here are Monica and Jacob, all decked out in their gear:

And to all of my past clients reading this-- here is proof that I am not the only nutty photographer who will roll around on the ground to get a great shot!
Olyn was yet again in Panama City-- this time to photograph Annie and Aaron's wedding. Working with a laid back couple like Annie and Aaron really makes this job a lot of fun! Especially when you have an adventurous bridal party... but we will keep the blog G rated!

Emily and Mike

Olyn was back in Panama City yesterday to photograph Emily and Mike's beach wedding. The cool fall weather and cloudless sky made it a wonderful day for a wedding, even some dolphins thought so!

Lee and John

Olyn was back in Panama City today to photograph Lee and John's beach wedding. This couple really focused on their love and their commitment to one another with a simple beach ceremony without any attendants and only family and close friends in attendance.

Megan and Matthew

Olyn went over to Panama City Saturday to photograph the destination wedding of Megan and Matthew. Although the drive from Dothan is not too far, the couple really embraced the destination feel. From the message in a bottle invitations to the seashell wedding cake, the wedding was a true beach experience for all the guests.

A Busy Week

This past week, Olyn and I covered three weddings and did portraits for the cutest twin girls in town.

I photographed the wedding of Amber and Mike at Los Robles park in Tallahassee. The couple's wedding was filled with family touches, as both the bride's aunt and cousin sang during the ceremony. The couple danced the night away at the near-by Women's Club.

Olyn traveled to Panama City to photograph the destination wedding of Audrey and Dustin. The couple were surrounded by their close-knit families as they exchanged vows at sunset.

I had a rare weekday wedding for the vows of Michelle and Phil. The avid Steelers fans traveled down from Ohio to enjoy the emerald waters and white sand of the Gulf Coast.

The Bennett twins came to the new studio for their debut portrait session. It is amazing how infants so young can have such distinctly individual personalities!

A double-header Saturday

Olyn and I split up on Saturday to cover separate weddings. I don't think the weather could have been more different between our two events!

I photographed Terri and Steve's wedding at St. George Island where there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Olyn stayed in Tallahassee to capture Staci and Andrew's wedding at Maclay Gardens, in between torrential downpours!

Here are a few of Terri and Steve who must have thought I was humorous!

Post-Easter Catch Up

We actually took a weekend off! Well, at least off from photography! We spent Easter weekend putting the finishing touches on the new house. As a result, the blog is a bit behind! Forgive me as I try to play catch up again!

Amanda and Chad were originally supposed to get married this September, but Chad received orders from the Navy that he will deployed again this fall. With short notice, the couple managed to plan an intimate wedding to remember!

Candice and Chris were married last July, but it rained on their wedding day! Determined to have the beach wedding photos they had dreamed of, they hired us to come back and do a casual re-shoot by the Sea Turtle Inn in Jacksonville Beach.

Olyn traveled to Panama City on Tuesday to photograph the destination wedding of Kenerly and Derek. An extremely kind, laid back couple, they were a photographer's dream!

Catching up...

Well, I think I might finally have this whole "blog" thing down! Between weddings and the holidays, I drastically fell behind on updating my blog. With good intentions and a New Year's resolution finally being realized, let me catch up on the last month of work!

I had the extreme pleasure of traveling back home to South Carolina to photograph the wedding of a childhood friend. Farrah and Trey had a sweet, intimate wedding at the Candleberry Inn in Greer, South Carolina. I was so happy to be able to not only witness their wedding, but also to play a part in the day!

Probably one of the sweetest, most caring couples I have ever met, Melanie and Ashley were married at Ashley's parents home in Whigam, Georgia. Despite the cold and the rain, their wedding was extremely personal and moving.

Travelling from Missouri, Allison and Jody exchanged vows at St. Andrew's Bay State Park in Panama City. Full of energy, these two had no choice but to cuddle for warmth on the beach in the 50 degree weather. Warm or cold, their affectionate nature really made for some wonderful photographs!
I was lucky enough to have Olyn second shoot Allison &Jody's wedding with me. These are a few of his shots that I loved:
