Andrea & Brian
It always cracks me up that arms seem to come out of nowhere in all the getting ready photos.
Totally real moment as Andrea watches her bridesmaids fight with her crinoline.
Quick portraits in the getting ready room as the coordinator hides Brian.
The incredible Missy Gunnels did the flowers-- I swear she is a genius!
Everyone is probably sick of me raving about Trinity Reformed Church, but I absolutely love working there!
A little fun with the "formals".
The weather was less than nice, so we were pretty limited in our locations for outside portraits, but I love this spot at the church!
The very sweet first dance...
with a bit of drama...
I love how Missy jazzed up the cake with flowers.
Ok... this is one of the funniest things I have ever photographed. Admittedly, I fell in love with this flowergirl (how can you not, she is one of the cutest kids on Earth!) The next three images read together as she attempts to lick the back of the plate to get every bit of icing.Labels: Missy Gunnels Flowers, publix cakes, The Retreat at Bradley's Pond, Trinity Reformed Church

To me, a wedding is really defined by the personal touches. Katie wore her grandmother's garter, which her mom also wore. The history of it was so cool, but it was also beautiful!
Trinity Reformed Church is my favorite church in town-- Olyn and I are always welcomed with open arms and they focus so much on the couple's wishes. It was a bit surprising when we walked in, though-- they have installed shutters over the huge frosted glass windows at the alter! :( This shot of Olyn's still looks awesome though-- the darkness of the shutters adds a really dramatic look.
We had a few minutes to play after we finished the "boring" church formals. :) Who says every shot inside has to be boring??
Of course, we also had to run outside for a few last shots before sunset!
Vince really out-did himself with the flowers! The simple reception decor really played into the overall feeling of understated elegance.
Katie and Christian had the sweetest first dance.
Katie rocked yet another awesome cake! I think Katie's style is so defined that I can walk into a room and instantly know if it is one of her cakes.
At the cake cutting, things started getting a little rowdy...
And it only escalated from there!
You know you had a great party when there are still tons of people to send you off!
There are so many details that go into telling the story of the wedding-- its not just the cake or the flowers, but the small details of the way a hand is held that really completes the story.
I don't think Justin took his eyes off Rachel all day!
Rachel and Justin's ceremony was really personal and tailored to suit them. They took communion from the same goblet that Rachel's parents had used at their wedding.
Throughout the day, Rachel grinned from ear to ear!
I think this is my favorite portrait of Justin, but I think it was the least comfortable pose!
Just when Justin thought we weren't looking, he gave his new bride a kiss.
The whole theme really came together with the lemon and lime centerpieces.
Justin and Rachel had the sweetest first dance to Etta James' "At Last".
The father-daughter dance was so emotional! I don't think there was a dry eye in the house!
Another beautiful (and yummy!) creation by Myra Jeans!
Of all the portraits we did of Rachel and Justin, this is my absolute favorite. We ran outside for a few shots during the reception and this really stands out to me as loving, relaxed and natural.
A wedding this close to the 4th of July has to have fireworks!
