Casi & Rob
What a great start to 2008-- a new year, a new camera and a fabulous couple! I had such a wonderful time with Casi and Rob! They are the kind of people who instantly make you feel like you have known them for years. They have a sense of inner peace that really makes you admire them.
This is the REAL color of the sky-- not a bit of Photoshop.
The groom alone before the ceremony.
The bride's beautiful gown.
I love shooting at First Baptist-- they have balconies that go all around the church, so you can very unobtrusively get awesome close ups of the ceremony.
And shots that really show the entire event-- from the couple to all their guests in the audience.

A quick bridal portrait of Casi before we were out of light.
With the days so short this time of year, it was completely dark when we got to the couple's portrait time. So, we did the mandatory "formal" portraits inside and then went outside for a very different look.

It was my first time shooting at the TCC Center downtown, which was just a short walk from the church. The reception really seemed to fly past for everyone!

Casi and Rob had an awesome sparkler farewell! To those thinking of doing sparklers, let me encourage you to use the same ones they did. The long sparklers really burn for awhile, while the short ones go out within 20-30 seconds. The guests were still playing with the sparklers, even after the couple had left!
