Lincoln High School 1987 Reunion

Olyn and I went over to the Double Tree last night to cover the Lincoln High School Class of 1987 reunion. I thought reunions were supposed to be tame and boring! The Class of 87 rocked out to some great 80's tunes from my favorite DJ in town, Greg Tish. I think its a good thing that we wrapped up the photography at 11:30... I have heard things got a bit wild after we left!

Thanks to the Class of 87 and Sean Caskie for having us as a part of their event! Here are a few sneak peek photos to tide everyone over until they all go online!

If you haven't checked it out yet, Greg Tish has a great web video on his website at http://www.tallahasseedj.com/!

Carly and Matthew

Yesterday, Olyn and I joined Carly and Matthew to celebrate their wedding here in Tallahassee. That phrasing may sound a bit strange, but I spent a lot of time thinking about the best way to describe their wedding day and that truly gets to the heart of it. They celebrated.

I have loved this couple since the moment I met them. I had a phenomenal time doing their engagement portrait and Carly's bridals. They instantly make you feel like you have been their friend for years and I don't think it is possible to feel uncomfortable around them!

Her choice of bridal footwear!Matt in his CEO pose:Moments later, the ringbearers brought Carly's gift to Matt. His face was PRICELESS when he realized she had given him a Rolex!Their ceremony was a mix of laughter and tears. Finally! A church portrait that I love!! :) This scripture from Matthew is in the NFC sanctuary just above the farthest pews in the balcony. Not only does it include the groom's name, but the message is dead on. Matt and Carly hired the white stretch limo from Mike's Limos. Why get an awesome limo, if you don't include it in your photos?Right before the couple went into their reception at the Double Tree, we ran across the street to the park and had a five minute photo shoot!Carly's dance with her dad was so touching. She is the youngest of five children and not only did Carly cry, but so did her sisters! This reception felt like a re-run of Soul Train! Its been awhile since I saw anyone do the lawnmower, the sprinkler or the running man!I did Carly's bridal portraits a few weeks ago at Goodwood Plantation. I LOVE doing bridal portraits and Carly was an amazing model! It's so hard NOT to post them on the blog before the wedding-- its like I have such a great secret! (And I'm not too good with secrets!) But I kept them under wraps-- until now!
