There are some families who we have photographed for years and they become one of “our families”.  With that, I mean that the kids know us, trust us and allow us to really photograph them as they are.  We know how to make them laugh and what types of images mom likes.  We know their interests, hobbies, school stories, their pets names and what milestones they have just passed in life.   It is a wonderful, comfortable place that gives us some of our favorite images ever.  Michael, Evangel and their entire family are definitely one of “ours” and we always look forward to their sessions!

Hmmm… two boys four years apart… sounds really familiar to me!  :)   I was so glad to capture Tysen’s one year portraits and also get a few of Kolby to celebrate his fifth birthday.  It was really cool to see boys with the same age difference as ours and how awesome they get along!

I don’t think any two children make me laugh as much as Dylan and Kinleigh.  They are so stinkin cute and their personalities are each so huge and dynamic!  Dylan was in a pretty chill mood and spent most of the session just checking everything out.  Miss Kinleigh decided that since she was so good for her last session, she was going to make me work for every single smile this time!  After using a few of our tricks, we definitely got smiles and fun expressions out of her!

We finished up the last baby plan session for Miss Maggie Kate and what better place for her session than the place her parents got married?  It was also where we did her big sister’s one year portrait session, so its definitely a place with a lot of meaning.  I was so thrilled to finally photograph these beautiful girls with their mommy as well!

Ok… here is a bit of honesty for you.  When you photograph a family with a 15 month old you never know what you are going to get.  As many skills as we have, working with children this age there is no telling what might happen!  While its kind of a crap shoot, but sometimes what you get just melts your heart.  This was the hand we got with the Hutt family– they were so adorable and little man was just an absolute riot!

My wild girls are back!  Yeaaa!  We have photographed Laurel and Heather several times a year for the past three years and it never ceases to amuse me.  These little ladies are as wild as their red hair and they come up with some of the funniest things you have ever heard!  Once you throw Mattie in the mix, its like one wild tornado– and I love it.  I look forward to all of their visits and their wild, contagious silliness!

I am always shocked when babies finish their Watch Me Grow plans.  A year can pass sop quickly!  For Ellena and her family its a bit different.  I can’t believe I have only known them a year!  It feels like I have been photographing them forever!  :)   Hopefully I will get to continue photographing their wild and crazy antics as Ellena and big brother Ky get big!

This week marked the end of the Watch Me Grow plan with the Miller family and I just want to cry!  Camden is a perpetual cutie with those giant blue eyes and he always gives me the best smiles.  I am so excited for him to become a big brother and to be able to keep up with this awesome family in the years to come!
