Ducks and Bunnies Limited Edition Portraits- March 8-11th {Tallahassee easter portraits}

Our most popular portrait event of the year is back! The Ducks and Bunnies Limited Edition portrait sessions will be March 8-11th outside our studio. The 30 minute sessions are only $29 and can accommodate up to three siblings ages newborn to 12 years.
NEW THIS YEAR! We are offering a LIMITED NUMBER of FAMILY DUCKS AND BUNNIES SESSIONS. Family sessions can accommodate up to six people and the family session fee is only $49!

This event sells out EVERY YEAR, so you want to reserve your session before its too late! To reserve your time, just call the studio at 850.339.5799 with a Visa, Mastercard or Discover card number to take care of the session fee. Discounted print packages are available at the order session starting at $129. Individual prints can also be purchased at our normal print prices.

2012 Cute Baby Contest is here! {Tallahassee Baby Portraits}

Its time to vote in the 2012 Tallahassee Cute Baby Contest! We had a call for entries on our Facebook page for over a week and here are our 20 entries! (The deadline has passed for new entries. If you missed out, be sure to “like” our Facebook page so you can join in all the fun contests and events!)

VOTING: You may vote ONCE per DAY per email address. Voting automatically enrolls you in our monthly newsletter. Do NOT vote from any work email address that you will get in trouble for using! You may ONLY vote from YOUR email address. If you vote from someone else’s email address and we find out, the baby you are voting for will be disqualified from the contest. All email addresses will be verified when the voting ends– any addresses that bounce back or require sender verification will NOT be counted.

VOTING IS NOW COMPLETE! We will be announcing the winner February 6th, once all the votes have been confirmed.

OUR BIGGEST MODEL CALL… EVER! {Tallahassee model photos}

I have so many creative ideas that I need models for, so here it is… our biggest model call EVER! I have some shoots I will be doing in the next few weeks, others in the next few months and some of the entries will be held for future projects I haven’t even thought of yet! We need models of every shape, size, color, age and gender, so don’t hesitate to send a photo in. While it might not be right for one of the shoots I am working on at the moment, I will keep it on file for anything that may come up!

We are looking for models for:

Boudoir (implied nudity)

Pinup (prefer that model has retro or vintage looking clothing)

Newborns

Musicians with their instruments

Maternity with implied nudity

Bodybuilders/boxers/wrestlers

Brides and grooms (in their wedding attire)

Men with heavy tattooing

High school junior and seniors

A litter of puppies

Any wrinkly type dog– bulldog, sharpei, basset hound, etc.

Really chubby babies in the 6-8 month range that can sit but not yet crawl

Family with elementary to middle school age children

Maternity progression portraits starting with sessions BEFORE 8 weeks

Dancers, especially ballet, ages 12+

If you are interested in any of these sessions or you would like us to keep your image in our model file, just email any image to Linda@LongsPhotography.com along with your contact info and the type of session you are willing to do. As a model, there is no charge for the session and you will receive an 8×10 print at no charge at the order session. Additional images from the session are available at our regular pricing.

Limited Edition Portrait- Kisses!

Our annual Limited Edition Kisses Portrait event is back and better than ever! We have completely revamped this set for Valentines and we are thrilled to offer these sessions with NO SESSION FEE! Session times are very limited and are available on Saturday, January 28th from 8:30am until 1:00pm. The half hour sessions can accommodate up to two siblings and are done both with and without mommy’s lipstick kisses on their faces. There is just a $50 minimum purchase for each session and we have additional discounted packages starting at $99. 2011 Tallahassee Photographer of the Year and Tallahassee Top Three Photographer!

Last night, I was named the 2011 Tallahassee Photographer of the Year and Olyn was named one of the Top Three Tallahassee Photographers for 2011! These awards are from the Tallahassee Professional Photographers Guild, based on the quality of our work. Each month, we enter print competition that is judged by other Tallahassee photographers and once each year, we have certified judges that score our images in a formal competition. Through the points earned in those competitions, Olyn and I have won these titles. We are so grateful to the other photographers who scored our images so highly and I am personally grateful to Olyn for being such a driving force in challenging me and keeping me on my toes! It was truly the best way we could ever imagine ending the year!

We are super excited that we might be able to add another Tally Award to our awards case! We so appreciate this award, as it is chosen directly by the people of Tallahassee– our clients. Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft — often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. In some places these children are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can’t afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a normal life.

This year, Long’s Photography is working to make a difference. From December 1-25th we will be accepting online donations for Operation Smile. For each dollar that is donated, we will provide a matching donation to Operation Smile AND your name will be entered to win a $700 prize pack including a family portrait session, framed portrait and prints. Contemporary Christmas

We do still have session times available for our Contemporary Christmas family sessions! These sessions are done in the evenings with our holiday lights outside the studio. One hour sessions can accommodate up to eight family members and are only $75. Sessions are available until December 2nd, so be sure to reserve your time before its too late! Holiday Deadlines

For portrait sessions in time for Christmas, you must have your session completed no later than December 3rd.

For holiday cards, your order must be placed no later than December 7th.

For regular prints, we must have your order by December 12th.

For specialty items such as Museum Mounts, Contemporary Mounts, albums, etc. we must have your order placed by December 3rd.
