Mary Beth and Michael

Who says organic chemists can't party!? Olyn and I photographed Mary Beth and Michael's garden wedding yesterday at Dorothy B. Oven park. These two were probably the calmest, most laid back couple I have ever worked with. Their calm demeanor spread through their families as well as the bridal party-- everyone was so loving and sweet!

Not only were these two of the cutest flowergirls, but also two of the best behaved! They were such angels not only during the ceremony, but the whole day!
An overview of the ceremony at the Dorothy B. Oven gazebo. It seemed that Michael's fingers were suddenly a bit larger than before!I don't think this smile left Mary Beth's face all day!
I think she is even smiling in this one, even though you can't see it!They made my job easy! I did not have to even try to get them to smile or laugh-- they had their own fun!
I really loved how natural Mary Beth's makeup looked! And because I don't want to neglect the groom, Michael looked quite handsome as well! The wedding was rather intimate, with many of the guests traveling over from the UK. It was really important to Mary Beth to have a photo of everyone. With a little guidance from the wonderful DJ, Steve Christian, and with me hanging out a second story window-- we made it happen! They put a new spin on an old tradition and had a small cake to cut, but also had mini cakes for all of their guests. Each cake was meticulously decorated with their monogram by the amazing Katie!
At the very end of the night, Mary Beth and Michael snuck off down the camellia path to share a quiet moment together.
I really want to thank both Mary Beth and Michael as well as their families for making yesterday so wonderful! Days like yesterday are a photographer's dream!

Baby Will

Baby Will came into the studio this week for the first session in his "Watch Me Grow" package. Will is such a laidback baby! He was incredibly sweet for only being 12 weeks old, and I think we captured a few portraits that really capture what an angel he is! I am so excited to spend a year photographing Will!

Tiffany and Jason

I went over to Myrtlewood Plantation in Thomasville to photograph Tiffany and Jason's lakeside wedding. Tiffany and Jason are a dream couple for a photographer-- they are sweet, kind, photogenic and they not only run on time, but they also gave me tons of time for photos! YEA!

Tiffany's beautiful dress and her last minute shoes:
Tiffany's veil with the hankerchief and card she gave to her dad before the ceremony. I was amazed they managed to choke back the tears!
An overview of their ceremony. I don't think any bride could ask for a prettier day!
I don't think I could have taken a photograph that captures Tiffany and Jason better than this. They are so fun-loving and laidback-- they are such a strong couple because they are so comfortable with themselves. Tiffany's eyes absolutely jump out of photographs!
Jason was such a good sport, although I know he was sweltering in that black tux!
They even came back out to the lake at sunset for another quick portrait session:
The beautiful and yummy cake by Sandy Stone:
They shared the sweetest dance out on the deck:

Reagan and Jason

Olyn had the opportunity to photograph Reagan and Jason's wedding at Melhana Plantation on Saturday. They could not have asked for better weather for their breezy outdoor ceremony! In spite of a few minor mishaps, including a dip in the pool to retrieve a wayward wedding band, Reagan and Jason's wedding really embraced the casual elegance that is Melhana Plantation. The native camellias adorning the arbor, the unique fish hook boutonnieres for the guys and the canine wedding attendants really gave their wedding a personal flair.

Reagan's beautiful spring bouquet which really matched the feel of the day:

A little mood music:I love how intently Jason watched Reagan come down the aisle.

And they couldn't wait for their first kiss! Some puppy love!Reagan and Jason had one of the best cakes I've seen in quite a while. After a little coaching on where to cut the cake, they did great!

Erica and Kyle

I met up with Erica and Kyle for their engagement session at Lake Ella-- where Kyle proposed. Erica and Kyle are an amazingly sweet, laid back couple and although it was a bit frigid this morning, they were real troopers and their photos look great! I really want to wish them the best for their July wedding in Jacksonville!

Lauren & Krayton

Olyn and I photographed Lauren and Krayton's wedding yesterday at Melhana Plantation. I really thought these guys cracked me up at their engagement session-- but it was no comparison to their wedding day! I think they have to be the funniest couple I have ever photographed!

Whether it was Lauren's fly-away veil....
or trying to figure out which hand the ring went on...

or a little impromptu karaoke and a midnight swim!
Here is one of Lauren's few serious moments.

I was lucky enough to photograph Missy Gunnels' gorgeous floral creations two weeks in a row!
Tiki's Tasties amazed me with the cake! I couldn't believe the bow was actually made of fondant! In fact, it took forever for Olyn to believe me that it was edible!!
