Serena and Tim

I really don't cry at weddings... whether it is because I have done so many or because I am concentrating so much on my work... I don't know why, I just don't cry. Yesterday, while photographing Serena and Tim's wedding, I teared up not once, but TWICE! They had an incredibly moving ceremony and then Tim's dad gave an incredibly moving toast to the newlyweds.

Serena's beautiful champagne colored gown:

Although it had rained all morning, the skies cleared and there was a beautiful sunset for their outdoor ceremony.
During the ceremony, it really struck me how Serena and Tim entertwined their hands. Throughout the ceremony, they both looked so serene and at peace. I see so many couples who are completely stressed out, it was really nice to see Serena and Tim enjoy their ceremony.
Everyone kept hugging Serena and yanking on her veil, so she kept telling everyone to put their arms, "under my veil, UNDER my veil!" So... I decided to take her literally... Missy Gunnels did an absolutely amazing job with all of the flowers! From the chuppa to the bouquets and centerpieces, everything was so gorgeous! At the reception, Serena and Tim not only shared a first dance, but they each danced with Gabi and Averie as a new family. Towards the end of the night, Serena commented on how much she was enjoying her wedding. I think it shows through all of the dancing and party photos!Teaking a break from tradition, instead of tossing the bouquet and garter, Serena's idea of a teddy bear toss was a huge hit with all the kids! Cindy & Kevin

Olyn caught up with Cindy and Kevin yesterday at Maclay Gardens for their engagement portraits. Despite the cold and the wind, Cindy and Kevin were a l0t of fun and I really think it shows in their photos!

Kristine and Zack

Yesterday, Olyn and I photographed Kristine and Zack's wedding and Thomasville First Methodist Church and their reception at Melhana Plantation.

Kristine and Zack's rings with their napkins of the signature midnight blue color.

They had four of the sweetest flowergirls who were so wonderful as we did a lot of portraits outside in the chilly weather!

Kristine and Zack hopped into their limo for a quick trip around the block while their guests left the church.

Kristine and Zack wanted a few traditional portraits in front of the Melhana Main House.

Followed by a few artistic shots around the Melhana grounds.

Kristine and Zack with one of Mike's Limos.
Kristine and Zack had one of the most romantic fist dances at the Showboat Theater.

And one of the most animated bouquet tosses!

Sarah and Rob

I joined Sarah and Rob yesterday at Melhana Plantation for their engagement session. As much as I love Maclay Gardens, I am so jazzed to shoot engagements at less popular locations. It really gives me an opportunity to create some different types of images.

The more traditional look:

A bit romantic:
A tad eclectic:

And one of the best action sequences I have seen lately!

What the heck have we been doing lately!?

Ok... so the blog has been a bit slow lately, I know! But trust me, things are staying busy here in the office!! I am working furiously to finish album designs for all the brides who have submitted thier lists in the past few weeks. (Did all you Spring brides get together and plan to bombarde me at once??)

So... in the lull... I am going to give you something to look at that sooo many of you have requested to see-- MY wedding photos! I just purchased my own wedding images from my photographer. The few breaks I have allowed myself from designing albums I spent tweaking my own images in Photoshop. :)
