2010 Tallahassee Photographer of the Year
Last night we celebrated the end of the year with all our photographer friends in the Tallahassee Professional Photographers Guild. Any gathering of this group is always a blast, but this year was especially wonderful. Through Olyn’s hard work at print competition, he earned a very special award and was named the 2010 Tallahassee Photographer of the Year. This is the highest award that the Guild awards and is based entirely on how well your work does in print competition. I received the award last year and I am so proud of Olyn for earning it this year!
I was also surprised at the party, receiving the President’s Award for the service and dedication I have given to the Guild this year. The Guild has taught me so much and really helped me grow as a photographer. To all the photographers who read our blog, but who have not yet joined the Guild, I strongly encourage you to come to our meeting in January and see what we have to offer! For 2011, I will be serving as President of the Guild and I am really excited for what the new year has to offer!

Shannon and Dan & Tallahassee Engagement Portraits
I love doing portrait sessions at FSU– campus is so large there is always a new spot I can find, a different idea, a new adventure. 
Shannon and Dan were totally up for the adventure as well, dodging all the graduation madness, freezing as we ran around in this weirdly cold weather, and traipsing all over campus and down to the stadium. They are so comfortable and natural in front of the camera– especially the snuggling parts. Either they were comfortable or really just trying to stay warm!

Baby Stella & Tallahassee baby plan portraits
Baby Stella is so expressive and attentive– she is totally into watching everything that goes on in her world! As attentive as she is, she is also super mellow and laid back. A total snuggler, she absolutely has both mommy and daddy wrapped around her little finger! (Like every little girl should!)

Brandon & Tallahassee children’s photography
I first met Brandon last Christmas for his first birthday portraits, so I was quite shocked to see how much he has changed in a year! From age 1 to age 2 they really go from being babies to little people. We had a great time being wild with Brandon– blowing (and eating) bubbles, tickling, chasing and sharing candy. Oh what hard work little ones are!

Kelle and Josh & Tallahassee wedding photographers
Kelle obviously had some butterflies before the ceremony– she was checking and rechecking every detail. Josh did his best to appear cool as a cucumber. The moment he saw Kelle coming down the aisle he had to fight back the tears. Then, as they walked hand in hand out of the ceremony he just about tackled me with the biggest hug in the world. He may have looked chill, but this guy was about to bust at the seams he was so overjoyed to be marrying the love of his life. Sorry if I just blew his cover, but I found it to be so incredibly endearing and heart-warming!
Boudoir Quickies & Tallahassee boudoir portraits
You asked and we listened! Just in time for Valentines, we will be having our first annual Boudoir “Quickies” event on Saturday, January 8th. Half hour boudoir portrait sessions photographed by Linda Long in our studio on a black backdrop– simple, easy and only $99.
After the session, all final images receive artist grade retouching and then we schedule for you to come back to the studio to view and order any prints or albums you would like.
