Happy Holidays!
Olyn and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We are so thankful that we have the privilege of documenting the most important day in a couple’s lives, that we get to forever capture so many childhoods, that we can create family heirlooms and that we get out of bed each and every morning to go to a job we love. We are so blessed in so many ways, but I hope each of our clients know how much we love and treasure them. Your support, friendship and encouragement this year has made this the best year Long’s Photography has ever had! We are already planning lots of new and exciting things for next year, and can’t wait to share them with you in January!
We will be taking some time off to spend with the two most wonderful boys in the world. We will be closed December 24-27th, open for limited hours December 28, 29 and 30th and again closed from December 31st until January 5th. We will be checking email and voicemail once per day, so if there is something you need, please know we will get back with you generally in about 24 hours.
From our family to yours, may your holidays be merry and bright!

2010 Images of the Year & Tallahassee photographers
We asked our clients to go back through the year and nominate their favorite images to become our 2010 Images of the Year. We posted them all to our Facebook page for votes and after a week of voting we have our winners! The votes were really close, and we have a few ties, so there are 11 images rather than just 10!
I am so happy with the image that was selected as our 2010 Image of the Year. This was from our “In His Shoes” portrait special for Father’s Day and little Aiden wore his Dad’s military gear. Aiden’s dad was stationed in Iraq for the last year, but I am so thrilled, overjoyed and excited to say he arrived home last week just in time for Christmas! This image was created as a surprise for his dad and I know how much it means to his mom. I was so proud to create this for them and I am honored it will be something that they will treasure. It is an image that really has a special place in my heart and so many people have mentioned how much they love it since we first showed it on Facebook. So, without further adieu…. our 2010 Image of the Year!
Baby Ruby & Tallahassee baby plan
Baby Ruby came in for her newborn portraits absolutely zonked out! She was a really sound sleeper and let us do lots of fun things! The best part was that whatever she was dreaming about gave her lots of sweet smiles. Ahhh… it just melts your heart!

Baby Lawson & Tallahassee baby plan
Baby Lawson is just the teeniest little thing! He was less than a week old when we got him in the studio for his newborn portraits. Its so great to get them in when they are this tiny– its amazing how quickly they grow! I love to hear the moms at the end of their Watch Me Grow plans, looking back on how small their babies once were!

Baby Levi & Tallahassee baby plan
Baby Levi is always such a smiley, happy little dude, but this time he had me laughing out loud! He has discovered his tongue and his growl! He is such a hoot– I might just have to borrow him to add a little sunshine to a future rainy day!

The Chalmers Family
The Chalmers flew into Tallahassee for the holidays and since they were all together for once, it was time for an updated holiday portrait! They were such a pleasure– they are laid back, funny, genuine and I don’t think there is a pretentious bone in any of their bodies. The shoot was a breeze and they almost had me to tears in laughter!
